Ryan Price, 30, was sentenced to eight months in prison after admitting 13 counts of theft and has been barred from five Monmouth businesses under a two-year criminal behaviour order.

Joe Cory, 31, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to making 217 category C indecent images of a child. He was handed a 12-month community order and must register as a sex offender for five years.

Neil Faulkner, 50, of Newport, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child after being caught in an online sting. His case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Calum Edwards, 35, was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison and made the subject of a two-year criminal behaviour order after pleading guilty to 16 counts of theft from shops across Newport.

Marcin Depka, 42, of Duffryn, Newport, was sentenced to 38 weeks in prison after being found guilty in his absence of failing to provide a specimen, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.

Imtiaz Fazal, 40, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison after stealing £200 worth of alcohol from the Cwmbran store.

Kieron Davies, 39, was given a 14-week custodial sentence at Newport Magistrates’ Court after admitting to burgling McCann’s pub and stealing cash, alcohol and a charity collection box.

David Lewis, 53, of Manor Way, told what he believed to be a girl under 16 that he wanted to “hug, kiss and touch her”. He will be sentenced on 1 May.

Michael George, 30, of Church Road, Newport, has been sentenced to 24 weeks in custody after pleading guilty to two counts of assault by beating against a man and a woman in Cardiff.

Lewis Harvey, 19, of Cwmcarn, was sent to a young offender institution for 28 weeks after pleading guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

Alison Sanders, 50, was sentenced to 12 weeks at Newport Magistrates’ Court after admitting attacks on two officers and a woman.

Peter Rowell, 67, formerly of the Abergavenny area, has been sent back to prison for 24 weeks after admitting he twice failed to tell police he had been at an address where a child lived.
