Hannah Hyde, 39, admitted stealing £153 of goods from two Barry stores within a month of each other. Cardiff magistrates jailed her for 24 weeks after activating a suspended sentence imposed for similar offending.

Liam Evans, 35, of Pontypool, has been jailed for 12 weeks after admitting assault by beating in Bridgend. Magistrates also imposed a restraining order protecting his victim until July 2027.

Lewis Jones, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted five frauds, a theft and criminal damage committed across Barry and Cardiff. He was jailed for 10 weeks at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court and ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

Joshua Smith, 25, was handed 12 weeks’ imprisonment at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after stealing £377.48 of goods from an Asda he was banned from entering. He also admitted two counts of outraging public decency and repeated breaches of a criminal behaviour order.

Glyn Webb, 69, received a suspended sentence at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with someone he believed was a girl under 16.

Matthew Pemberton, 41, received a suspended sentence at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after admitting attempting to engage in sexual communication with someone he believed was a child.

Jonathan Sterry, 44, has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after going door-to-door in Maesteg claiming to collect donations for a cancer charity. He had no permit or connection to any registered organisation.

Jake Royle, 23, was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after admitting a series of shop thefts targeting stores in Barry, Penarth and Cardiff.

Nadine Jade Martell-Marshall, 28, of Mountain Ash, pleaded guilty at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court to causing unnecessary suffering to a cat named Tigger in Barry.

Glyn Webb, 79, of Dinas Powys, has pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. He will be sentenced at crown court on June 17.

A 75-year-old man from Rhoose has pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

Franky Dymott, 50, of Main Street, Barry, was sentenced to 29 weeks in prison at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after breaching a restraining order on two consecutive days, just months after it was imposed.
