James Carr, 68, of Bryntirion, was convicted of rape, attempted buggery and indecent assault after subjecting a young boy to what a judge called a “campaign of abuse.”

Jason Ford, 37, has been sentenced to 57 weeks in prison at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court after groping a nurse, racially abusing a police officer, and committing a string of other offences while heavily intoxicated.

Daniel Morgan, 35, of Aberdare, has been sentenced to three years and six months after stealing a bulldozer and driving it into the New Inn Public House, causing extensive damage to the building and several vehicles.

Byron Evans, 34, was sentenced to three years in prison at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court after pleading guilty to burglary and aggravated vehicle taking in the Gurnos area.

John Lamont, 28, was sentenced to 16 months after exposing himself at a Cardiff playground and crashing a stolen car into an ambulance.
