A 48-year-old woman has been sentenced after admitting she exposed her breasts and genitals in an act that outraged public decency.

The offences

Michaela Johnson, of Ogmore Crescent, Bettws, Newport, committed the offence on March 6. She also pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on the same date.

Johnson further admitted a charge of failing to surrender to court bail on March 23.

Sentencing

Appearing at Newport Magistrates’ Court, Johnson was handed a 12-month community order. As part of the order, she must complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

She was also made the subject of an electronically monitored curfew lasting eight weeks, requiring her to remain at her address between 8pm and 6am.

Johnson was ordered to pay £85 in costs.
