Every month Wales Updates funds tree planting and climate projects through Ecologi. Here’s what that adds up to so far, how we keep our own footprint small, and how you can help it grow.

The carbon we’ve helped keep out of the air is the same as any one of these.
- 4 long-haul flights A return long-haul flight puts out around a tonne of CO2e for each passenger.
- 11,894 miles driven in a car About 30 round trips from Cardiff to Holyhead.
- 14 m² of Arctic sea ice saved Every tonne of CO2e costs the Arctic about 3 m² of summer sea ice.

Carbon avoidance
4.67 tonnes of CO2e kept out of the air
Through projects including one avoiding methane emissions from landfill in Brazil. Methane traps far more heat than CO2, so stopping it counts for a lot.
Lighter by design
Planting is only half of it. The other half is not wasting energy in the first place, so the site itself is built to tread lightly.
