A vehicle has been taken off the road in Pwllheli after police discovered its driver had no insurance to be behind the wheel.

PC Owen (4010) of North Wales Police pulled the vehicle over for checks while patrolling the town on Monday 2 November. The officer established that the driver was not covered to drive it, and the vehicle was seized.

The force pointed out that uninsured drivers leave law-abiding motorists to carry the financial cost. They can also leave innocent people out of pocket if a collision happens.

North Wales Police said its officers will carry on with proactive stops and checks. The aim is to make sure drivers are following the law and the roads stay safe for everyone who uses them.
