Dean Smith, 47, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to possessing prohibited images of a child. His case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Cameron Wooley, 21, was sentenced to eight months in prison after stealing nearly £392 worth of goods from stores he was banned from entering under a criminal behaviour order.

Jordan Jones, 25, of Bedwas, Caerphilly, has been handed a 24-week suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting an emergency worker in Ystrad Mynach.

Michaela Johnson, 48, of Bettws, Newport, has been sentenced to a 12-month community order after admitting outraging public decency by exposing herself, along with being drunk and disorderly.

Jake James, 25, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to making indecent images of children and breaching a sexual harm prevention order. He has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing.

Samuel Reardon, 37, was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison at Newport Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to two thefts and threatening to kill a person.

Sean Hart, 28, of Cardiff Road, Caerphilly, pleaded guilty to five offences at Newport Magistrates’ Court including possession of indecent images of children and extreme animal pornography. He will be sentenced at crown court on May 15.

Ryan Price, 30, was sentenced to eight months in prison after admitting 13 counts of theft and has been barred from five Monmouth businesses under a two-year criminal behaviour order.

Joe Cory, 31, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to making 217 category C indecent images of a child. He was handed a 12-month community order and must register as a sex offender for five years.

Neil Faulkner, 50, of Newport, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child after being caught in an online sting. His case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Calum Edwards, 35, was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison and made the subject of a two-year criminal behaviour order after pleading guilty to 16 counts of theft from shops across Newport.

Marcin Depka, 42, of Duffryn, Newport, was sentenced to 38 weeks in prison after being found guilty in his absence of failing to provide a specimen, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.
