A 27-year-old Mold man has been sentenced to prison after stealing multiple vehicles and committing several offences over the weekend.

Ryan Seaman of Maes y Dre took two vehicles without consent from Pen y Bryn and Hawthorn Avenue early Sunday morning, causing significant damage to both. He attempted to use a stolen bank card at the Esso service station in Mold before later returning to steal fuel and alcohol. 🚗

When confronted, Seaman fled the scene, abandoning the damaged car. He was later arrested driving a stolen van on Parc Avenue, which had also sustained heavy damage.

Inspector Iwan Jones said: “Seaman is a prolific offender, and I hope his swift arrest and subsequent sentencing will bring a degree of relief to many in the local community, and particularly the victims involved in these incidents. We take such incidents very seriously and will relentlessly pursue those who cause the most harm.”

Seaman pleaded guilty to multiple charges including aggravated vehicle taking, shoplifting, fraud, and driving offences. He was sentenced to 60 weeks in prison, banned from driving for four and a half years, and fined £187.

A second man, Ricky Richardson, 40, of Maes y March, Mold, faces related charges and will appear in court on February 28th.
