Abergavenny paedophile guilty of assaulting girl

A 45-year-old man from Abergavenny has been convicted of a string of sexual offences against a child following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court.

Matthew Toyer, of Haven Way, was found guilty by a jury of two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration, along with one count of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The court heard that Toyer’s offending took place in the Brecon area during this current decade.

He is due to be sentenced on March 27 after being granted conditional bail by Judge Eugene Egan.
