A jury at Cardiff Crown Court has convicted a 28-year-old man of strangling and exercising controlling behaviour against his former partner.
Aiden Jones, of Maes Y Graig Street, Gilfach, had denied any wrongdoing throughout his trial, but was found guilty of the offences, which were carried out between January and June 2023.
Judge Eugene Egan granted Jones conditional bail ahead of his sentencing, which is scheduled for April 17.
