Abertillery woman jailed again after assaulting police officers

A woman who was imprisoned last year for assaulting emergency workers is back behind bars after admitting further attacks on police officers and another woman. ⚖️

The offences

Alison Sanders, 50, of Glan Ebbw Terrace, Abertillery, attacked two police officers in the town on August 15, 2025. She then assaulted a woman in Cardiff on March 11.

Criminal history

Sanders received a 32-week prison sentence last year for assaulting emergency workers.

Sentencing

She pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of assault by beating. Sanders was sentenced to 12 weeks in custody and ordered to pay compensation to her victims.
