Gwent Police are continuing their efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour linked to off-road bikes and quads in the Caerphilly North area. 🚓

Officers from the Caerphilly North Neighbourhood Policing Team deployed their drone to Rhymney this week as part of the operation.

On Sunday, officers successfully spotted, stopped and seized a bike for having no insurance.

“As part of our ongoing Respect Rhymney initiative, with our eyes in the sky and boots on the ground we will continue to target this behaviour which we know is having such an adverse impact on our communities,” said Gwent Police.

The police are asking for community support in addressing these issues, encouraging residents to report where these bikes are stored.

If you have concerns about illegal off-road bikes or drugs in your area, you can report it via the Gwent Police website, call 101, or send a direct message on their Facebook or X social media pages.

New QR code signs have also been installed throughout the Rhymney area, allowing residents to use their smartphones to contact police directly.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their website.
