It is with great sadness that we announce that PD29 Maui has passed away. Maui joined us in the summer of 2021 as a general purpose dog, later licencing as a firearms support dog. He loved nothing more than supporting his colleagues, and serving his community. Maui was not only known for his amazing work, but as a gentle giant who loved everyone and was loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed by us all, and especially by his handler, PC Gareth James, who remained by his side throughout his illness and his passing. Our thoughts are with him at this sad time. PC James would like to thank Fields Vets and Bristol Vet Specialists for their incredible care of Maui and for their support and guidance when making the difficult decision to put Maui to sleep. Thank you for your service PD Maui🐾💙
