Aberavon Man Jailed for Eight Years After Sexual Assault

A 27-year-old man from Aberavon has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious offences including rape. ⚖️

Corey Jones, from Aberavon, Neath Port Talbot, was found guilty of actual bodily harm (ABH), two counts of common assault, one count of rape, and breaching his restraining order.

The court heard that Jones sexually assaulted his victim at a house in July 2024. He was sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on Wednesday, March 5.

Detective Constable Rabaiotti praised the victim’s courage, stating: “I want to thank the victim in this case for their bravery and strength in coming forward and speaking to us and their commitment throughout the course of the investigation.”

“I would encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, or knows someone who has, to come forward and speak to use. We will listen to you, and we will investigate.” 🚔
