A 22-year-old man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a parked campervan in Caerphilly today. 😢
The incident occurred on Heol Aneurin in Penyrheol at approximately 1:20pm on Friday. Emergency services, including Gwent Police, Welsh Ambulance Service, and Air Ambulance Service, quickly attended the scene.
Despite their efforts, the young man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision on Heol Aneurin, Penyrheol, Caerphilly, at around 1.20pm on Friday 28 February. Officers attended, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Service.”
The spokesman added: “A 22-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The collision involved a motorbike and a parked campervan and we’re asking anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, to call 101 or DM us quoting log reference 2500065132.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to help with their investigation. 🚔
