A motorist has had their vehicle seized after being pulled over by Gwent Police roads policing officers in Blackwood.
The driver was found to be holding only a provisional driving licence and had no qualified supervising driver in the car with them at the time – a legal requirement for provisional licence holders.
Officers also established that the vehicle was not covered by the minimum third party insurance required by law to drive on public roads.
The driver has been reported for two offences – driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance. The vehicle was seized.
Gwent Police reminded motorists to ensure they hold a valid driving licence and appropriate insurance before getting behind the wheel.
