A woman who caused damage at a solicitors’ office in Benllech has been sentenced to prison for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order. 👮‍♀️

Paula Clutton, 42, of Cybi Close, Holyhead, was seen shouting outside the office of Parry, Davies, Clwyd-Jones and Lloyd on April 17th.

A witness heard her shout: “I know you are in there. Come outside.” He then heard a “loud, crashing noise” and saw Clutton kicking and punching the office door.

The court heard the man felt her behaviour was so concerning that he would have locked himself in his car if she had approached him.

Four panes of glass in the door were damaged, with repairs costing £760. Clutton also stole four bottles of perfume worth £83.97 from a shop. 🛍️

When arrested, she was heavily intoxicated and gave no comment during police questioning.

Defence counsel Sarah Yates told the court: “She is somebody who has struggled with alcohol abuse and addiction for many years.” Ms Yates added that Clutton is “tired” of her chaotic lifestyle and wants to change.

Clutton had been subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order since January 2023, which she breached with her behaviour in Benllech.

Judge His Honour Rhys Rowlands told her she had “completely ignored the CBO in a fairly serious way” and added: “It’s only you that can break the cycle.”

He sentenced Clutton to 12 months in prison for breaching the Criminal Behaviour Order and one month, to run concurrently, for theft.
