South Wales Police have ramped up efforts to combat drug dealing and associated crime in Llanrumney, with a renewed push already delivering significant results.

Operation Tellima

The operation – first launched last year for a two-month period – has been relaunched to target drug supply, anti-social behaviour, off-road bikes and violent crime in the area.

What’s been recovered

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs so far this month.

During those arrests, officers seized 45 wraps of cannabis along with a further 249g of the drug, as well as cash and mobile phones believed to be connected to dealing activity.

A Rambo knife, a BB shotgun and a locking knife were also recovered, alongside two e-bikes, an off-road bike and an e-scooter.

Community support

The force has stressed the importance of information from the public in helping officers identify criminals and locations linked to drug supply.

South Wales Police said: “Information from the community is essential to help officers target criminals and locations. We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming.”
