A controlling boyfriend who assaulted his partner, another man, and a police officer at a Tenby holiday let has been jailed for three years and nine months.

Jack Griffiths, 23, of High Street in Ammanford, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with a series of offences in both west Wales and London.

The court heard that on May 17, Griffiths assaulted his partner and a man at a holiday let in Tenby, as well as a police officer who was called to the address.

He was also accused of controlling or coercive behaviour against his partner between October 2023 and May this year, including controlling what she ate, who she spoke to, and what she watched on television.

Griffiths was separately charged with assaulting three men in the Borough of Haringey, London, on November 30 last year.

The defendant pleaded guilty to engaging in controlling behaviour, two offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating of an emergency worker, two charges of assault by beating, and a further offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Judge Huw Rees sentenced Griffiths to a total of three years and nine months. His ex-partner was granted a 10-year restraining order against him.
