A 37-year-old Pembrokeshire man has avoided immediate custody after admitting he made indecent images of children, including material in the most serious classification used by the courts.
The sentence
Louis Davids-Watson appeared before Swansea Crown Court, where Recorder Mark Powell KC handed down a 12-month prison term suspended for two years. It means he will not serve time behind bars provided he keeps to the conditions attached to the order.
What he admitted
Davids-Watson, of Castlemartin, entered guilty pleas to three counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children. The material spanned all three court classifications – category A, which covers the gravest imagery, alongside category B and category C. The offending took place in Castlemartin on 9 July.
Conditions attached
He was placed under supervision for a two-year period. The order also requires him to complete a drug rehabilitation programme, undertake rehabilitation activity and attend regular reviews.
Longer-term restrictions
Davids-Watson must sign the sex offenders register for the next decade. A sexual harm prevention order was imposed for the same 10-year period. He was ordered to pay a £187 surcharge.
