A 39-year-old has been sent to prison after breaking into a city centre bar and making off with cash, alcohol and a charity collection box.
The burglary
Kieron Davies targeted McCann’s in Newport on 7 December last year.
Sentencing
Appearing at Newport Magistrates’ Court, Davies pleaded guilty to burglary. District Judge Sophie Toms handed him a 14-week custodial sentence and ordered him to pay £250 in compensation.
Background
Formerly of Newport and now held at Parc Prison in Bridgend, Davies was locked up earlier this year for similar offences.
