Llanelli School Closed After Threatening Online Messages

Dafen CP School in Llanelli has been closed today following “threatening messages” received online.

Dyfed-Powys Police and Carmarthenshire County Council made the decision not to open the primary school on Monday, 3 November, after police received information at around 2:30am.

Officers are maintaining a presence at the school and in surrounding areas whilst enquiries are carried out.

Police acknowledged the concern among parents and school staff but confirmed that “the necessary and appropriate safeguarding measures have been taken.”

No other schools in the local area have required closure.
