The family of a man who died in a collision in Firbank Avenue, Newport, has paid tribute to him, describing him as someone who “will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.”
Officers attended a report of a road traffic collision in Firbank Avenue, Newport at around 3.50pm on Thursday 10 April.
The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man from Newport was pronounced dead at the scene. He can now be named as Travis Powell.
His family has paid tribute to him, saying: “It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Travis Powell, who left us far too soon at the age of 29.
“A cherished son, loving brother, devoted partner, and doting father to two beautiful girls, Travis was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
“We thank everyone for their love, support, and understanding during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be shared at a later date.”
At this time, the family kindly asks for privacy and space to grieve this unimaginable loss.
