A man who admitted supplying cocaine over a period of nearly ten months has been sentenced to more than two years in prison.
The offending
Corey Richards, 27, of Manor Gate, Greenmeadow, Cwmbran, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the class A drug in the town between January 9, 2024 and October 25, 2024.
The hearing
Prosecutor Sali Harmes outlined the extent of Richards’ involvement to Cardiff Crown Court. Gareth Williams, defending, asked for appropriate credit to be applied for his client’s guilty plea.
Sentencing
Recorder Claire Pickthall handed Richards a 30-month prison sentence, reflecting the discount for his early plea. She also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the iPhone used by Richards in connection with the drug supply. He must pay a £228 surcharge within six months of his release.
