Baglan Man Jailed for Indecent Exposure in Aberavon

A 50-year-old man from Baglan has been sentenced to 26 weeks in prison after admitting to indecently exposing himself to passers-by on Dunraven Street, Aberavon.

Scott Thomas flashed his genitals and backside towards members of the public as he walked along the street at around 7am on Friday, July 18. He immediately admitted the offence upon arrest.

Thomas will also be required to register with police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 for seven years.

PC Rachael Travers said: “Scott Thomas’s actions were completely unacceptable and will have caused alarm to those who saw him in Dunraven Street, especially at that time of morning. He will have known the likely consequences of what he was doing. Those consequences are now a reality for him.”
