Three Newport drug dealers who made more than £250,000 from supplying cocaine and cannabis will hand back less than £1,000 after a proceeds of crime hearing at Cardiff Crown Court found their assets had been almost entirely spent or hidden.

Michael Noakes, 66, from the Caerphilly area, was caught using a banned VPN in violation of his sexual harm prevention order. He was handed a 12-month community order at Cardiff Crown Court.

Ross Herbert, 25, of Heath, Cardiff, received a suspended sentence at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting coercive and controlling behaviour against his former partner, including multiple assaults while she was pregnant.

Jack Purnell, 22, of Newbridge, Caerphilly, was given a suspended sentence at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting three counts of making indecent images of children, including images of babies as young as one.

Danny Lewis, 34, of Newport, was sentenced to 39 months at Cardiff Crown Court after breaking into a home, attempting to steal a BMW, and punching the homeowner who tried to stop him.

Robert Davies, 54, of Merthyr Tydfil, has been sentenced to a year in prison at Cardiff Crown Court after pleading guilty to harassment and criminal damage. Davies left 11 voicemails threatening to stab his victim to death while already on bail conditions not to contact her.

Ieuan Woodyatt, 27, of New Inn, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting to controlling and coercive behaviour against his girlfriend and a string of separate offences in Blaenavon.

Kevin Bennett, 48, of Blaenavon, was sentenced to 12 months at Cardiff Crown Court after committing nine offences in Cwmbran and Pontypool – just weeks after receiving a suspended sentence.

Steven Williams, 51, of Treherbert, has been sentenced to 45 months in prison after being convicted of arranging a child sexual offence following an undercover police operation.

Dean Edwards, 48, was sentenced to eight years at Cardiff Crown Court after being convicted of raping a woman at her home. The victim came forward in 2023 after learning he had been jailed for a separate rape.

Alex Thomas, 21, from Merthyr Tydfil, was sentenced to 27 months at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting criminal damage, threats to kill, and strangulation against his former partner.

Kyle Fisher, 19, of Tonyrefail, was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting coercing 20 girls aged 10 to 15 into performing sexual acts on camera through threats and blackmail.
