Two males have been arrested in Bangor after officers uncovered a significant quantity of nitrous oxide and a sum of cash stored in a secure container.

The arrests

Officers from North Wales Police’s Rota 1 were carrying out a routine patrol when they spotted two males behaving suspiciously. The pair – aged 17 and 20 – were detained on suspicion of drug supply offences and burglary.

The discovery

Following further enquiries, officers were led to a secure container where a large haul of nitrous oxide – commonly known as laughing gas – was found alongside cash.

North Wales Police shared images of the seizure and praised the team’s proactive work in keeping the community safe.

The force said: “The images speak for themselves. A significant haul of nitrous oxide off the streets of Bangor — far from a laughing matter!”

The arrests were made ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
