A university student who was supplying Class A drugs to fellow students has been jailed for 3 years and 3 months.

Stacey Brookman, 37, of Gimson Close, Tuffley, Gloucester, pleaded guilty to multiple drug-related charges and theft at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday, October 20.

The investigation began in early 2025 when intelligence reports suggested that Brookman was supplying Class A drugs to fellow students at his university. In May 2025, whilst the Organised Crime Unit was developing this intelligence, Brookman became a suspect in a separate shoplifting incident.

On 1st May 2025, Brookman was identified via CCTV footage as the individual responsible for the theft of headphones from a retailer on Taff Street, Pontypridd.

Following his arrest, officers conducted a search at an address on Windsor Road, Treforest, where they discovered not only the stolen property but also a significant quantity of illegal drugs, including cocaine, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia such as weighing scales and zip lock bags.

Further investigations revealed additional drugs, including crack cocaine and Valium tablets, concealed on his person after he was admitted to hospital.

Despite being granted bail due to his hospitalisation, Brookman discharged himself hours later. Subsequently, officers were alerted by his landlord, leading to the recovery of another bag of white powder during his arrest.

Brookman was sentenced for his involvement in the supply of both Class A and Class B drugs, possession of cocaine and cannabis, and theft from a shop.
