A stalker who sent threatening voice messages to a woman who tried to help him has been jailed for two and a half years.
Dale Myles Selby, 37, of Cae’r Ffynon, Llanystumdwy, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday 16 December after admitting to stalking.
In September 2025, Selby sent a woman threatening and abusive voice messages after claiming she had sent money to him to the wrong bank account.
He threatened to bust the door of her house down and assault both the woman and her husband.
Selby continued to send several threatening voice notes to the woman, leaving her in fear that violence would be used against her.
The 37-year-old was jailed for six months for the stalking offences and made subject of a five-year Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO).
He was also jailed for two years for activating a suspended sentence, which he was serving for a previous burglary.
In total, he was jailed for two and a half years.
Inspector Iwan Jones said: “Selby’s behaviour towards a woman who was trying to help him is disgraceful.
“Threats of violence towards women will not be tolerated and we will continue to ruthlessly pursue those who do not respect the law.
“I urge anyone who experience threats of violence to come forward and seek support. We will listen and investigate your report.”
