Peter Carlo Diparno, 44, of East Parade in Rhyl, found himself back in the dock this week after breaking the terms of a restraining order that specifically forbade him from making any contact with a female living in Prestatyn.

The restraining order had originally been imposed on Diparno following a trial at Mold Crown Court last June. Despite the clear prohibition, he breached the order, leading to his arrest by North Wales Police officers on 6 January.

Diparno appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court via custodial video link on Wednesday, 14 January, where he entered a guilty plea to the breach. The court immediately handed down an 18-week prison sentence.

North Wales Police Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele confirmed the case in a statement, explaining that the restraining order “prohibited Diparno from contacting a female residing in the Prestatyn area” and had been put in place following his previous court appearance.
