A 58-year-old man from Pontypool has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison for gross indecency with a girl who was under 14.
Martin Pugh, of Chester Close, New Inn, was convicted following a trial at Newport Crown Court after denying any wrongdoing.
The offence
The court heard that Pugh committed the offence against the victim between 1998 and 2003.
Sentencing
Judge Daniel Williams handed Pugh a six-year-and-six-month prison sentence.
He was also told he must register as a sex offender for life.
