Newport Serial Thief Jailed for Hospital Break-in Attempt

A serial offender has been jailed after attempting to break into the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.

Timothy Lewis, 54, of Oak Street, Newport, was sentenced to 30 weeks in prison after being found guilty of attempted burglary at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

The incident took place on Sunday, December 15, with Lewis – who has previous convictions for theft and burglary – attempting to gain unlawful entry to the healthcare facility. 👮
