A 52-year-old man has been arrested after a Nazi flag was spotted flying from an electricity cable in the Rhondda Valley on Friday morning. 🚨
The offensive flag was seen hanging near St John’s The Baptist Church on Bailey Street in Ton Pentre, prompting concerned residents to alert authorities.
South Wales Police responded swiftly to reports, which came in just before 7 am on Friday, 14 March.
“We can confirm a 52-year-old local man has been arrested for racially aggravated public disorder and is in police custody,” South Wales Police said in a statement.
“We received a call about the flag just before 7 am today and can confirm it has now been removed.”
Police have not released further details about the suspect as the investigation continues.
