Drink-driver Caught at Newport McDonald’s Gets 14-month Ban

A drink-driver has been caught red-handed at McDonald’s in Newport after being found over the legal limit 🚗🍟

Jayden Sicolo-Murphy, 23, was arrested at the fast food chain’s Lyne Road franchise on Monday, May 26.

He pleaded guilty to having 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – well above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

Sicolo-Murphy, of Jubilee Way, Rogerstone, Newport, was banned from driving for 14 months at the city’s magistrates’ court.

The defendant must pay £855 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
