Officers from Gwent Police’s Community Action Team carried out a series of enforcement stops during a proactive patrol on Friday.
Three separate incidents were dealt with across the Caerphilly county borough area, resulting in two vehicles being taken off the road and one arrest.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after officers spotted a vehicle as they were leaving Ystrad Mynach Police Station. Checks confirmed the driver was unfit to be behind the wheel due to alcohol, and she was detained at the scene and taken into police custody.
Separately, a vehicle in the Rhymney area drew attention after its occupant reacted to the presence of officers and abandoned it before fleeing on foot. The vehicle was found to have been declared off-road and was seized.
A third vehicle was recovered in Hengoed after members of the public flagged concerns. Officers confirmed it had no valid insurance and removed it from the road.
