Alex Thomas, 28, of Castle Lea, admitted making four category A indecent images of a child, making one category C indecent image of a child and possession of an extreme pornographic image involving a human and a dog.

The offences were committed between November 11, 2023 and August 16, 2024, prosecutor Kevin Withey told the court.

District Judge Sophie Toms adjourned the case for the preparation of a pre-sentence report, warning Thomas that “all options open” would be open, including prison.

The defendant, who was represented by James Campbell, was granted unconditional bail and must register as a sex offender. He is due to be sentenced on June 5.
