Baby dies in dog attack in Monmouthshire

A nine-month-old baby has died following a dog attack in Rogiet, Monmouthshire, Gwent Police have confirmed.

Officers were called to a property on Crossway at about 6pm on Sunday evening.

The dog has been seized and removed from the address.

Ch Supt John Davies said: “Officers are on scene and will be making further inquiries as the investigation progresses.”

An investigation is ongoing.
