A Gwent Police dog tracked down a man concealed behind a false wall at a 313-plant cannabis factory on an industrial estate in Aberbargoed. Albert Hysaj, 42, has been jailed for six months, while a second man received a suspended sentence.

Carl Jubin, 40, has been jailed for two years at Cardiff Crown Court after forcing his way behind the counter at a Spar in Bridgend and knocking a shopkeeper to the ground. The worker of 18 years said the robbery had left her frightened and unable to sleep.

Lewis Jones, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted five frauds, a theft and criminal damage committed across Barry and Cardiff. He was jailed for 10 weeks at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court and ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

Martin Roberts, 36, followed two women through Swansea city centre shops and looked up one of their skirts in a Tesco aisle, a day after being released from prison on licence. A judge told him he was “undeterrable” before jailing him for three years.

Two 19-year-olds have been sent to a young offenders’ institution and a 17-year-old boy handed a referral order over a November 2025 robbery in Port Talbot. The victim was hospitalised and needed glue for a cut to the back of his head.

Driver jailed after writing off police car in Abertillery

Patrick Duggan, banned from driving since 1994, repeatedly reversed into a police car during a pursuit through Abertillery, causing £28,000 of damage. He was jailed for 19 months at Cardiff Crown Court and disqualified for a further three years and nine months.
