Joshua Smith, 25, was handed 12 weeks’ imprisonment at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after stealing £377.48 of goods from an Asda he was banned from entering. He also admitted two counts of outraging public decency and repeated breaches of a criminal behaviour order.
Two 19-year-olds have been sent to a young offenders’ institution and a 17-year-old boy handed a referral order over a November 2025 robbery in Port Talbot. The victim was hospitalised and needed glue for a cut to the back of his head.
Nathan Morgan, 37, has been jailed for 26 weeks after repeatedly turning up at the address of a person protected by a restraining order. He admitted four harassment offences at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court.

Jack Heard, 28, wrote off a disabled man’s Motability car during a 90mph pursuit in Pontypool, leaving the owner housebound. He was caught driving dangerously again in Cwmbran seven months later and has been jailed for two years.
Mohammad Haddad, 70, of Fields Park Road, Newport, was convicted at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court of offences including attempted rape and indecent assault dating from the 1980s. He was handed an extended sentence of seven years and will sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
