Mohammad Haddad, 70, of Fields Park Road, Newport, was convicted at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court of offences including attempted rape and indecent assault dating from the 1980s. He was handed an extended sentence of seven years and will sign the sex offenders' register for life.
