A convicted sex offender has been locked up after he failed to notify police of a change of address within the required timeframe.
Richard Bowyer, 41, of Fairoak Avenue, Newport, admitted failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements by not informing police of his new address within three days.
The offence took place between October 20 and November 14, 2025, Newport Magistrates’ Court heard.
Bowyer was sentenced to 24 weeks in custody.
