A 24-year-old man has been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis grow at a property on Brighton Road in Gorseinon.
Officers from the Gorseinon Neighbourhood Policing Team acted on intelligence gathered from local residents, which helped them identify suspicious activity in the area and carry out targeted enquiries.
When they gained entry to the property, they found it had been converted for the large-scale cultivation of cannabis. All growing equipment was stripped out and a significant quantity of the drug was seized.
The man, from Gorseinon, has been charged with an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act and remanded in custody.
South Wales Police credited information from the local community as playing a key role in the operation.
