A 32-year-old man from Llanelli has appeared before Cardiff Magistrates Court, pleading guilty to several offences linked to Parc Prison in Bridgend.
Zachery ‘Zack’ Griffiths was charged and remanded to Court on Tuesday, October 8. The following day, he admitted to:
- Transmitting images or sounds from a prison without authority, contrary to the Prison Act 1952.
- Sending offensive, indecent, obscene, or menacing messages via public communication networks.
Griffiths also pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress. For this offence, he received a four-week prison sentence.
His case will proceed to Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday, November 6, for sentencing on the prison-related charges.
South Wales Police have not released any further details at this time.
