Family tribute to boy, 16, killed in Grangetown collision

The family of a 16-year-old boy who died after a collision in Cardiff have released a heartfelt tribute describing him as “a beacon of joy and compassion.”

Miracle Oladoyinbo was riding a bike when it collided with a SsangYong Tivoli on Penarth Road at its junction with Clare Road, Grangetown, on Wednesday, March 25, at 12.27pm.

In a tribute released through South Wales Police, his family said:

“Miracle Oladoyinbo was a beacon of joy and compassion, a 16-year-old whose life was defined by a profound love for God and an unwavering commitment to his faith. A gifted musician, he didn’t just play music; he used his talents as a ministry to uplift spirits and bring comfort to everyone around him.

To know Miracle was to be touched by his warmth and inspired by his grace. While his life was tragically cut short, the melody of his kind heart and the strength of his testimony will resonate forever in the hearts of the family and community who loved him so dearly.”

South Wales Police roads policing officers are continuing to investigate the collision and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are also urging anyone who was travelling through the area at the time to check dashcam and private CCTV footage.
