Family tribute to motorcyclist killed in B4265 crash

The family of a 37-year-old motorcyclist who lost his life following a collision near Wick have released a tribute to him.

Robert Curl, from Bridgend, died at the scene of the crash on the B4265 Wick Road on Friday, May 22, despite efforts by emergency services.

His family said: “As a family we are devastated at the loss of Robert, a son, brother, loving father, loving partner, uncle, grandson and nephew as well as a friend to many. He touched so many people’s lives and will be loved and missed always.”

The collision

The crash, which took place at around 3pm, involved a Suzuki motorcycle and a red Toyota Yaris. The driver of the Toyota is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Specially trained family liaison officers are supporting Robert’s family.

Witness appeal

South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are asking anyone who saw the crash – or who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand – to come forward.

Officers are also urging people to check for any relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.
