A Buckley man who made hundreds of indecent images of children – including a baby girl – has been jailed for 18 months after a judge condemned his “depraved” behaviour. 📱⚖️

Christopher Daniels, 51, of Alyn Road, admitted making 334 indecent images in the most serious categories A, B and C at Mold Crown Court. The images showed children aged four to 12, with one showing someone committing an indecent act on a baby girl.

Police discovered the images on his Samsung phone and laptop during a search in November 2022. Daniels had also breached a sexual harm prevention order by installing FrostWire peer-to-peer software.

His Honour Rhys Rowlands told Daniels: “I’m afraid it’s abundantly clear to me you have no interest in complying with the terms of the sexual harm prevention order. The purpose and terms (of a SHPO) are important tools to ensure there is no repetition of the unnatural and worrying behaviour on your part.”

The judge added: “Obsessive behaviour born out of boredom and loneliness is understandable (but) I fail to see how this explains let alone excuses your deliberate and repeated accessing images of young children seemingly whilst affected by drink.”

Defence barrister Myles Wilson said Daniels suffered from “unresolved, personal trauma” and was a “particularly anxious individual” who felt isolated and targeted by locals.

Daniels received 12 months for making category A images and six months consecutively for breaching his SHPO.
