A 21-year-old Abergavenny man has been handed a suspended sentence after police discovered nearly 400 indecent images of children at his home.
Calum Davies, of Underhill Crescent, admitted to making 201 category A images (the most serious classification), 123 category B images, and 62 category C images between January 2018 and March 2023. He also pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited image of a child.
At Newport Magistrates’ Court, Davies received a 35-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He must register as a sex offender for 10 years and comply with a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration.
The court ordered Davies to pay £187 in surcharge fees and £85 in costs.
