A Tredegar woman will spend Christmas behind bars after admitting to a crime spree across South Wales.
Gemma Jones, 35, was sentenced to 31 weeks in prison at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to multiple offences.
The court heard Jones stole goods worth nearly £700 from the John Lewis department store in Cardiff and was found in possession of a stun gun in Newport.
Jones also admitted stealing £40 from a man’s wallet, as well as further theft and fraud offences.
The 31-week sentence was handed down after she pleaded guilty to theft, fraud, and possession of a weapon for the discharge of an electrical incapacitation device.
