Teen Dies After Medical Episode at Barry Island Park

A 16-year-old boy has died after suffering a medical episode at Barry Island Pleasure Park on Friday evening 💔

South Wales Police were called to the popular Vale of Glamorgan attraction at approximately 17:00 BST and are now investigating the full circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who were at the park around the time of the incident to come forward with any information that could assist their investigation.

In a statement, Barry Island Pleasure Park said: “Staff did their best to assist the emergency services but, unfortunately, the boy suffered a medical emergency and could not be saved.”

The park added: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time.”
