A 21-year-old Swansea man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexual offences against a child. 👮‍♂️

Thomas Hearn, from St. Thomas, was sentenced to 16 months in prison at Swansea Crown Court on March 7 after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault by touching on a child under the age of 13. The court heard that Hearn had kissed the child on two occasions.

In addition to his prison sentence, Hearn has been made subject to notification requirements for 10 years and a restraining order was imposed for the same period to protect the victim.

Detective Constable Joanne Williams said: “We are pleased to see the court outcome following Thomas Hearn’s offences. Despite the victim’s age, Hearn’s actions have had a profound effect on them. We hope that this sentence brings the victim and their family some closure, and helps them to be able to move forward.”
